Student Profile

Li Cheng
“As my first language is not English, it wasn’t easy at first, but I got lots of help from my teachers and I took EAL (English as an Addi-tional Language) lessons too. My English has got better and better. I’m studying Maths, Further Maths and Physics – Maths and Further Maths are easier as you don’t need too much English, but I have needed extra support from staff to understand the con-cepts of Physics. There are students at Gle-nalmond from many different places, and I have friends here from the UK, Germany and France. It’s a great place to study.”
Li Cheng went on to study Mechanical Engineering at Warwick University after completing his A Levels at Glenalmond College.
