School Ethos
Leighton Park School was founded by the
Religious Society of Friends (Quakers)
and today it is a community of many
faiths and none. Our students continue to
uphold the Quaker values of honesty,
integrity, simplicity, equality, peace,
sustainability and respect. We seek to
create a community of tolerance and
understanding within which a balance
between discipline, especially self-discipline, freedom and exploration is
maintained. It is the ideal environment in
which to think, reflect and learn.

Academic Profile
Academic excellence is a constant and
vital feature of the school. Students experience a purposeful academic environment and are prepared for life beyond school through an approach to teaching and learning which acknowledges that we live in a rapidly changing world. The broad, yet academically rigorous curriculum encourages students to develop their intellectual curiosity.

Sixth Form
In Sixth Form, students can study
either. A Levels or the International
Baccalaureate Diploma.

A Pre-Sixth Course is also available for international students seeking a firm academic foundation before Sixth Form.

Beyond Academic
In addition to succeeding academically, we want our students to enjoy the rich diversity of boarding school life to the full. Pupils can take part in over 50 clubs and activities, particularly excelling in art, drama and music. Other activities vary from ICT or science clubs to sailing or horse-riding. At weekends, there is a full programme of activities and visits for students who board.

English as a Second
Language (ESL)
We welcome students who speak
English as a second language, provided the academic standard is met.
