Seaford's aim is to educate the whole person :to nurture individuality and an acceptance of others' strengths and weaknesses ,to develop initiative and an enquiring mind ,and to create a hunger for life .A typical Seafordian will be an articulate, confident and well-rounded young person .Seaford College provides an inspirational environment ,where personal bests are achieved both in and outside the classroom.
Boarding
Girls boarding is located in the historic Mansion House.Boys boarding is located in new modern boarding houses with views over the South Downs .Because you join the same boarding houses an our English pupils ,you will have plenty of opportunity to integrate and improve your English.Cultural trips are arranged every weekend to beautiful, historic towns and cities (including Oxford ,London,Winchester and Chichester) allowing students to explore the beauty of the South of England.
Supporting your studies
Your English level is assessed when you join the school and an individual programme of study is devised to help you maximise your ability to use the English language .Our first priority is to encourage the student into conversation.
Overseas students are given individual support in accessing the national curriculum(GCSE/A2)and in the sixth form you will study for the Cambridge IELTS examination which is a UK university admission requirement for non-native speakers.
Admissions process
After being assessed at entry (speaking ,reading, writing and listening),an individual programme of study is drawn up to help you maximise your ability to use the English language .Year 9 pupils study general English .Year 10 and 11 learn IGCSE English .When you come into the sixth form (Years 12/13) we recommend that you have a level of English equivalent to IELTS 5.5(B2).By the time you leave us ,you should be able to reach at least the minimum grade required for a British university .Many Seaford students achieve high grades in these exams .If you come from a non-EU country, you need to obtain a visa to be able to study in the UK. The school issues a CAS(Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies)for this purpose. Our overseas pupils are highly motivated and many of themgain places in some of the UK's most prestigious universities.

I am in my final year at Seaford College ,and I am studying A Level Maths .Further Maths,Economics and Business Studies .I am planning to study at the University of Warwick .Seaford is a very warm community ;I love boarding ,and the teachers and house parents are really nice and patient .They are enthusiastic about helping us,and help us to settle in. I like the variety of food we are given;it's very good quality so I don't need to worry about a balanced diet. Every weekend we have many trips to interesting places ,and I have learnt a lot about the UK.I think studying at Seaford will help me in the future ,as there is increasing competition and talent ,and I think good English will be an advantage in helping me to get a good job in the future.Seaford has a small percentage of international students ,so we learn about the culture and the language bceause we integrate with the English studrnts.
