Ashville is made up of a Pre-School, Prep School and Senior School, providing an all-through education from aged three to 18.

A strong Methodist ethos and traditional values form the foundation of an Ashville education, creating a safe and supportive environment in which pupils can freely ask questions and explore as they learn. We believe that pupils of all ages achieve best academically when their studies are combined with their other interests and passions. An Ashville education is an all-round education, where freedom is given to discover and explore individual talents, whilst maintaining a commitment to achieving at the highest level academically.

No matter the stage at which a pupil begins their Ashville journey, they will be challenged to try new things and inspired to discover the joy of learning. Each pupil is valued as an individual and we take the time to know and nurture every child. We encourage our pupils to make the most of their time at Ashville and take advantage of the many opportunities on offer.  Pupils are given the skills to succeed at the highest level, inspiring them to become a better version of themselves.

An Ashville education emphasises the individual’s place within the wider community, upholding Christian values of openness and respect. Pupils develop an understanding of their relationship with others, as well as a sense of social responsibility and belonging.

When the time comes for our pupils to move on from Ashville, they leave as well-rounded young adults: resilient, confident, and fully prepared for the adventures ahead.

Ashville's unique US International Studies programme sets us apart from other HMC schools. As well as helping American students gain the appropriate educational requirements to return to education in the US, the US International Studies Programme can help UK and International students apply for a place at an American University, a trend that is increasing with our UK students.

Any pupil who attends Ashville is eligible to access the programme, which is run by a specialist teacher. The department is on hand to help any interested students through the application process for US universities, as well as advising on financial aid. Assistance is provided for both US and non-US students in preparing for PSAT, SAT and ACT examinations, as well as entrance tests and additional qualifications, ensuring pupils who wish to can continue their education in the US.

A range of speakers and experts provide key information on the different application processes at international universities, covering the range of requirements in detail.

As a Methodist school, Ashville values each and every pupil, for who they are and whatever talent they have. Wherever their interests lie, every pupil is respected by staff and pupils alike. The strong pupil / parent relationships and the pride in being part of the Ashville Family can be seen across all areas of the College. This creates a uniquely nurturing atmosphere for all pupils who believe they can and will achieve their best, no matter where their strengths may lie.

Daily formal assemblies in each school give pupils and staff the time to come together to celebrate and recognise pupil successes. The House System gives pupils across the Schools a common bond further strengthening their sense of belonging across the community and age groups.
